Another Race Weekend has come and gone already.
How is that possible? The years seem to fly by faster and faster...
CFI hosted its Annual Spring Fling last week.
The kids played carnival games, won prizes, bid on silent auction items and visited the book fair to the tune of $40. Ouch. Like we don't have a bazillion books at home already?
And, of course, there's always face painting. Isabelle currently idolizes her 8th grade book buddy and is determined to find a 'really cool' graduation present for her.
And this weekend we opened the pool.
And by opened, I mean I spent nearly three full hours blowing it up by hand and then another hour lugging buckets of semi-lukewarm water from the kitchen sink to the back patio enclosure via big blue bucket.

The kids helped.
Hot Box Pizza Cups don't really fill a kiddie pool very quickly though.
They DO, however, make a fantastic hat.
Does one really need goggles in less than two feet of water?
Probably not. But they really complete the outfit.
Saturday was the Parade...
The gang was enthralled as always, and were actually really well behaved for a two hour parade in 90 degree weather.
Then we headed back to celebrate Vinny's birthday a few days early...
And, of course, a Louis update.
He's a chunker.
Look at that cutie...
Happy Memorial Day, gang!
